I say this with kindness: don’t embarrass yourself.
You are here because someone in your genetic line persisted.
We aren’t promised anything.
Nowadays that doesn’t seem to matter that much really. It’s too easy to survive now. You can abuse yourself, physically and emotionally, and still persist. You can never exercise, eat like an asshole, and then take drugs to remain “healthy” on this spinning globe a few more turns around the sun. Will it be a life a quality? Likely not, but you’re still breathing, so that is somehow a win.
We are literally descended from the most badass fucking beings on the planet.
So, what was once a feat, survival – is now something we take for granted. We are shocked when our young die, and we are appalled when someone passes “before their time.” That’s a misunderstood concept, however. It makes the assumption that you get a certain amount of time. And we don’t. We aren’t promised anything. So, should we not make the absolute most of what we have? Should we not pay respect to the lineage prior to us that persisted through the harshest times in our existence to give our DNA a shot?
We are descended from the kings and queens of the human race.
We are literally descended from the most badass fucking beings on the planet. We rose to the top of the food chain. We conquered every mountain, every beast, every insurmountable odd, and our ancestors fought and won! We are descended from the kings and queens of the human race.
Why does that matter? How can remembering that help you? Because it means you came from something greater, and if you choose to, you can be something greater too. You can choose to get off your ass and go do anything, because it’s easier than ever to do things that give you pleasure and meaning. It’s the easiest time in our existence to SURVIVE, so how dare we take that for granted and not THRIVE!
So go DO, SEE, and BE more. Be more today than you were yesterday. Be a legend, be a savage, be human, be a badass, be Cavewoman.
